THE HERO'S JOURNEY TO THE THIRD POLE selected for CPH:DOX
The Hero's Journey to the Third Pole: A Bipolar Musical Documentary with Elephants, by Andri Snær Magnason and Anní Ólafsdóttir, has been selected for the NORDIC:DOX competition at CPH:DOX (Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival). The festival is one of the biggest documentary film festivals in the world and takes place from April 21 - May 2 in a hybrid version.
The Hero's Journey to the Third pole was directed and written by Andri Snær Magnason and Anní Ólafsdóttir. The film is an adventurous, sad, dreamy, funny, and ultimately bittersweet story of two people struggling with the balancing act of bipolar disorder and confronting the shame that they and other bipolar people feel.

The film is produced by Andri Snær Magnason, Sigurður Gísli Pálmason, Halldóra Jóhanna Þorláksdóttir and Hlín Jóhannesdóttir, and coproduced by Högni Egilsson, Anna Tara Edwards, Anni Ólafsdóttir and Eva Lind Höskuldsdóttir.
